Patricia "Pat" A. Woods,
86, of Cedar Rapids, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday,
Aug. 30, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at
Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Father Ivan
Nienhaus will officiate.
Burial: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, at a later date.
Pat was born April 11, 1931, the daughter of Edmund and Marguerite (Meffert) Kirby. She was raised in Oelwein. On Oct. 8, 1960, Pat married James Woods in Oelwein at Sacred Heart Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family, fishing and playing bingo.
Pat is survived by her husband, James; children, Edmund Woods, Anne Woods and Mary (David) Edaburn; grandchildren, Kirby and Jack Edaburn; brothers-in-law, Tom (Carolyn) Woods of Oelwein and Leo (Judy) Woods of Dyersville; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her son, John Woods; parents; and siblings, Colleen (Jack) Kice and Helen (Tom) Hornbeck.
A memorial fund has been established.
