Patricia Kaye Pyle, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 1 p.m., with a visitation beginning an hour earlier, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A private family burial will be held following the services.
Patricia was born on Feb. 14, 1945, to Kenneth and Evelyn (McFarland) Kelley in Manchester, Iowa. She graduated from Alburnett High School in 1963. Following graduation, she was united in marriage to Douglas Pyle on Oct. 19, 1963, in Marion, Iowa.
Patricia loved doing research on the computer, especially when it came to genealogy. She retired from Alliant Energy in 2002. Patricia was an amazing and devoted homemaker and loved spoiling all of her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Larry Pyle of Coralville, Jeffrey (Cathy) Pyle and Steven (Julie) Pyle, both of Palo, and Jerry (Paula) Pyle of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Nadine Leise of Vinton; a brother, Harry (Judy) Kelley of Panama City, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Denny Pyle of Cedar Rapids; three granddaughters, Kylee, Lakyn and Brittany; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
