PATRICIA "PAT" R. MATHISON

Patricia "Pat" R. Mathison, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at her home after a long illness. Family and friends may visit on Wednesday from 4 to
7 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home.
Pat is survived by her life partner, Diana Svoboda; son, Jeff (Shawn) Mathison; two grandsons, Kaare and Carson Mathison; granddaughter, DeLana Mathison, all of Lincoln, Neb.; son, Paul (Kathy) Svoboda; daughter, Cathy Svoboda; and three grandsons, Andrew, Doug and Steven Svoboda, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Julia Mathison; and two brothers, Bill and Chuck Mathison.
Pat was born on July 15, 1948, in Rapids City, S.D., and came to Cedar Rapids in 1978 to join her brother Chuck in the Taco John's business. After retirement, Pat enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
