PATRICIA (PAT) ANN NOVAK
Cedar Rapids
Patricia (Pat) Ann Novak, 81, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Hospice House of Mercy. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Papich-Kuba Funeral Home East, 1228 Second St. SE, Cedar Rapids.
Pat was born March 23, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Lottie Taylor. She graduated from St. Wenceslaus High School in 1955. Pat was united in marriage to Lavern (Bud) Novak on Aug. 16, 1958.
A strong believer in her Catholic faith and always the optimist, Pat constantly found the brightest spots in life. She enjoyed engaging in conversations with any and all. No one, however, consumed her heart as that of her family, especially her two granddaughters, Breanna and Natasha. She enjoyed her time working for the Cedar Rapids school system, especially her later years as the secretary at Pierce Elementary.
Pat is survived by her husband, Bud; son, Terry (Mary) Novak of Michigan; and granddaughters, Breanna Novak and Natasha Novak.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.
Online condolences may be left for the family at www.papich-kubafs.com under obituaries.
