Patricia "Pat" Ann Duffy, 84, died peacefully Friday, Dec. 8, 2017.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Pat Duffy Memorial Fund.
Pat was born April 18, 1933, in Iowa City, the daughter of Ivan and Marjorie (Stubbs) Rose. She was a 1951 graduate of Iowa City High School. On May 9, 1956, Pat married Peter J. Duffy Jr.
Prior to retirement, Pat was employed at ACT and also had been the church secretary at St. Wenceslaus for many years. She enjoyed spending time with old friends. Most important to Pat was her family.
Survivors include her three children, Joe (Mary Jo) Duffy of Iowa City, Glenn (Irene) Duffy of Riverside and Rachel (Gerard) Johnson of Kalona; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Logan, Ryan (Kelly), Erin (Will) Windauer, Kenny Johnson (Lisa) and Sara Johnson: great-granddaughter, Madisyn; and her brother, David (Wilma) Rose of Brighton, Colo.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two children, James and Regina; grandson, Adam; and siblings, Jim Rose, Virginia Jennings and Marilyn Currnow.
