Patricia “Pat” Agnes Fiala, 87, of Solon, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Solon Care Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, March 2, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Solon. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Solon. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre are in charge of arrangements.

Pat was born March 17, 1938, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of William J. and Julia T. (Maher) Steinbrech. Pat graduated from Solon High School, Class of 1956, as well as from the Paris Academy of Cosmetology in 1959. On May 3, 1960, Pat married Terry Howard Fiala, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Solon. She was the first hairdresser at the Solon Care Center. Pat was very involved with her community, she was a member of the Solon’s Women’s Club, the Solon Library Building Committee, a Blue Bird/ Campfire Leader, and St. Mary Catholic Church. Pat liked to read, travel, go camping, watch her children and grandchildren’s events and, most of all, spend time with her loving family.
Pat is survived by her husband of sixty-five years, Terry Fiala; their children Kellen (John) Baird, of Solon, Lori (Jeff) Shebetka, of Swisher, and Daniel (Susan) Fiala, of Solon; grandchildren Ashley (Adam) Baird Christy, Ian Baird, Andrew (Kim) Baird, Amber (Dallas) Camp, Kain (Molly) Schilling, Haley (Alex) Murley, Mary Fiala and Grace Fiala; and nine great-grandchildren, Hogan, Dayton, Joselyn, Kyla, Gunnar, Paisley, Olive, Harrison, Helen and Edie; her brother Bill Steinbrech; and her niece and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters-in-law Karen (Jerry) Grings and Nora Steinbrech.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
