Patricia Mae O'Connor, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Sept. 26, 2016. A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Stewart Baxter Funeral Home, 1844 First Ave. NE, Cedar Rapids. Papich-Kuba Funeral Services will be serving the family. Visitors are requested to dress casually. There will also be a private family burial service. Condolences for the family may be left at www.papich-kubafs.com.
Pat was born March 17, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Paul and Velma Chesmore. She married John R. O'Connor Sr. on March 9, 1984. She worked as an assistant store manager at Kmart in southwest Cedar Rapids for over 25 years, before retiring.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, John; children, John (Jodi) Harris of Marion and Mark Harris and Stefani O'Connor of Cedar Rapids; stepsons, Johnny (Tammy) O'Connor and Jason O'Connor; and daughter-in-law, Amanda O'Connor. She also had three brothers, Paul (Pat) Chesmore of Marion and Irvin Cahill and Jimmy Martin of Cedar Rapids. She had 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pat loved her time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and meeting her retired friends for an occasional dinner.
