Patricia Milder-Behrends, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017. Funeral services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Mechanicsville. Visitation: one hour before the service at the church. Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon.
Survivors include her children, Kent (Cindy) Behrends and Renee Vargas; grandchildren, Jenny (Dan) Jacobs, Trevor (Jeni) Haas, Tyson (Milly) Haas, Kelli Behrends, Adrianna Vargas, Angela Vargas (Mitch Crawford), Alana Vargas, Karmen (Travis) Keltner and Aubrey Watkins; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Tom) Akin, Maxine (Gene) Pollock, Bill Milder, Suzanne Evans, Marge (Larry) Johnson and Mike (Lisa) Milder; many nieces and nephews; and extended family members.
Patricia Catherine Milder was born March 3, 1941, in Muscatine, Iowa, to Ralph and Mary Bertha (Enderle) Milder. She graduated from Olin High School in 1959. Pat owned a cafe, as well as did catering, worked at the Anamosa Reformatory, and retired as a Holiday Inn consultant.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Milder; and brothers-in-law, Everett Smith and Curt Evans.
