PATRICIA KATHRYN MEYER (SIMMONS)

Patricia Kathryn Meyer (Simmons) passed away Feb. 20, 2018, after living a wonderful life. Pat was born on Dec. 3, 1946, to Owen and Iverne (Johnson) Simmons of Nashua, Iowa. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1965. She married James Meyer on Nov. 19, 1966, at Holy Family Church in Mason City. She enjoyed raising their three children, Steve, Debbie and Laurie. Pat worked in bakeries and doughnut shops and always was a bright spirit who lit up a room. She was adored by her coworkers, friends and family. She imparted wisdom on her children that has been carried forward to her nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; son, Steve (Gina) Meyer of Newbury Park, Calif.; daughter, Laurie (Sean) Taylor of Center Point, Iowa; sister, Krystal Bartnik of Dorchester, Wis.; brother, Robert Simmons of Sheffield, Iowa; and son-in-law, Jed Grell of Washta, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Debbie.

Pat was an incredible mother, wife and friend. She lived a beautiful life and will be missed dearly by her loved ones. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 24 at 1:30 p.m. at the Center Point United Methodist Church Worship Center at 815 Summit St., Center Point, Iowa, with the reception following at the Center Point United Methodist Church Ministry Site at 275 Green St. W, Center Point, Iowa.
