Patricia Ann Maudsley, 80, of Walker, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Celebration of Life services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 26, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will follow in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Brosh Chapel.
Patricia was born April 23, 1935, in Ely, the daughter of James and Cecilia (Klouda) Bizek. Patricia was united in marriage to Eugene "Bud" Maudsley on Nov. 24, 1955, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
"Grandma Pat" worked as an in-home day care provider for many years. Pat enjoyed playing bingo, coloring books for adults, word finds, watching game shows and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her children, Mark Maudsley of Cedar Rapids and Barbara (David) Scadlock of Walker; four grandchildren, Jennifer Maudsley, Cecelia Maudsley, Amanda Scadlock (Dylan Messer) and Eugene Scadlock (Molly Breyfogle); four great-grandchildren, Naomi, Miriam, Angelique and Abigail; and her longtime family friends, David Mefferd of Cedar Rapids and Andy Guritz of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud, who died in 1989; her son, Eugene Maudsley Jr., who died in May 1992; and her siblings, James (Jackie) Bizek and Loretta Emerson.
