Patricia Lea Benesh, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, in her home. Celebration of Life gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St., SW. Memorial Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 7121 Mount Vernon Rd., SE. Private family inurnment will be in Shellsburg Cemetery at a later date.
Patricia was born Dec. 6, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Norman and Alice (Hammond) Brown. Patricia was united in marriage to Kenneth Benesh on Dec. 6, 1958, in Marion. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, as well as a dedicated and faithful Jehovah’s Witness.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Kenny; children, Darrell (Cindy), Darren (Robyn), Dianna S. (Howard) Maxwell and Denise (Brad) VanFossen; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her siblings, Geraldine Johnson, Steve (Kathy) Brown and Donna Jones; as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kenneth “Turtle”; and her grandson, Christopher Benesh.
