Patricia Lagerquist, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha following a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Susan (Dave) Anderson of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Doug of Cedar Falls, Scott (Angie) of Cedar Rapids and Bruce (Beth) of Treasure Island, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Bryan (Molly), Amy (Dan), Daniel, Melissa (Andy), Allyson, Ted, Mark and Elyce (Mike); and 11 great-grandchildren, Ian, Ellen, Katy, Clark, Clint, Wes, Eleanor, Aidan, Chase, Crew and Jamysen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; her parents; a cousin, Betty Mae Sandberg; and a brother, Leo Smith.
Patricia Ann Smith was born March 16, 1932, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Leo and Helen Donisthrope Smith, and married Donald Wayne Lagerquist on Sept. 24, 1950, in Cedar Rapids. He died in 2008.
Patricia loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a loyal lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs and had volunteered over 10,000 hours at Mercy Medical Center.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy.
