Patricia A. Kelly, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Northbrook Manor. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 11, 2018, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Steve Garner. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements are with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her sisters, Geraldine (Ronald) Frerick of Cedar Rapids and Kathy (Thomas) Van Berkum of Marion; four nephews; seven nieces; six
great-nephews; six great-nieces; and many cousins and friends.
Pat was born in Cedar Rapids on March 15, 1939, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary (Carolan) Kelly. She attended school at St. Matthew's School and then graduated from the Mount Mercy Academy in 1957. She worked at LeFebure for 19 years, followed by 10 years at Rockwell Collins.
Pat cherished her memories of being a candy-striper at Mercy Hospital and was a faithful member of St. Matthew Catholic Church for over 75 years. She will be remembered for her love of her nieces and nephews and her delicious holiday frosted sugar cookies that she shared with family and friends. Pat also enjoyed visiting and having coffee whenever she could and was proud of her Irish heritage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Judie Brown; brother, Thomas M. Kelly; and a very special cousin, Rose Williams.
