Patricia Jean Downing, 82, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Monday, May 16, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Patricia was born July 21, 1939, in Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Crystal (Lanham) Jones. She graduated from Bloomfield High School, Class of 1957. Patricia was united in marriage to Harold A. Downing on Dec. 27, 1957, in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of the Eagle's Club Auxiliary and the Moose Lodge. Patricia will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Steve, Susan and David Downing; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Downing; parents; two brothers, Jim and Jack; and grandchild, Allen.
