Gardner, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died at home Thursday, July 30, 2015, surrounded by family. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 3, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Elks Club following the services.
Patricia was born June 14, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of William and Florence (Svoboda) Haywood. She married Ronald R. Gardner on Aug. 24, 1985. Patricia was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the Elks Club. Patricia enjoyed cross stitching, going to craft shows and making holiday candy, but most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Ronald R. Gardner; her children, Michelle (Randy) Potts, Bill Jellison and Sally Miller; her sisters-in-law, Vione Beck, Linda (Dan) Tyo and Barb Hosford; and a brother-in-law, Marv (Cheryl) Gardner. Also surviving are six grandchildren, three great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Florence Haywood; a brother, Richard Beck; and father and mother-in-law, Howard and Belle Gardner.
Any memorial donations may be made to the Elks Club in honor of Patricia's name.
