Patricia Ellerby, 87, of Marion, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Summit Pointe Senior Living in Marion. Per Patricia's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Patricia was born Nov. 9, 1934, in Wisconsin, the daughter of James and Doris (Akins) Glass. She was a graduate of Readstown High School in Wisconsin and went on to attend a business college in La Cross, Wis. On June 20, 1959, Patricia was united in marriage to Jack Ellerby in Viroqua, Wis. She worked as a secretary before staying at home to raise her family. Patricia enjoyed her yearly trips to Las Vegas with her husband, coin collecting, solving word searches and puzzles.
Patricia is survived by her two sons, Jeff (Teresa) Ellerby of Marion and Bob (Karen) Ellerby of Patterson, Calif.; grandchildren, Jeremy Ellerby of Cedar Rapids, Jessica Ellerby of North Liberty, Iowa, and Kathryn (Ricky) Eldridge of West Lake Village, Calif.; and great-grandson, Joseph Eldridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jack, in 1999.
