PATRICIA LOUISE (GILES) CHAMBERLIN

Patricia Louise (Giles) Chamberlin, 88, of Davenport, formerly of Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, June 23, 2016, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at Glendale Cemetery in LeClaire.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
Pat was born Oct. 24, 1927, in Des Moines, the 12th child of William and Josephine (Hoyack) Giles. She graduated from East Des Moines High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Albert L. Chamberlin Jr. on June 6, 1947 in Des Moines. They moved to Cedar Rapids in 1958 and to Davenport in 2013. Pat retired from Rockwell Collins in 1987 after almost 22 years of service.
Her memberships included the Rockwell Collins Retirees Association and the Friendship Club of Mount Vernon.
Those left to honor Pat's memory include her husband of 69 years, Albert; her daughter and son-in-law, Paula Marie and Richard Rath of Sherrard, Ill.; her grandsons, Aaron Lee Frels of Lewisville, Texas, Edwin Derick Frels of Normal, Ill., and Jason David (Calynn) Schiess of Matherville, Ill.; her great-grandsons, James Edwin Long of Inje, South Korea, Ethan Blake Frels of Chenoa, Ill., and Kinnick David Schiess of Matherville; and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mary Mendenhall, Catherine Giles, Dorothy Powers, Margaret Cocks and Phyllis Gonda; and her brothers, George, John, Robert, Frances and Joseph.
