Patricia C. Miller, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, in Cedar Rapids.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Pat was born March 11, 1941, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Michael and Dorothea Palmer. Pat graduated from Washington High School in 1959, and married Thomas L. Miller in 1959 in
Killeen, Texas.
Pat was a homemaker, and her greatest passion was her family. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, antiquing, crafts and home renovation. Pat had a lifelong love of animals. Throughout her life, Pat loved spending time with her extended family in Peterson, Iowa. Pat was always doing for others, and generously cared for her husband and many relatives and friends at their times of need. She was also an avid volunteer at many organizations in the Cedar Rapids area including Grace Episcopal Church, PTA, Linn County Extension Services and various animal organizations. Pat was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
Pat is survived by her son, Michael Lee Miller (Sue Gerth) of Cedar Rapids; her daughter, Stephanie Miller (Emanuele Maiorano) of Trieste, Italy; her sister-in-law, Donna Wiley of Cedar Rapids; several cousins from Peterson, Iowa; and countless family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom; brother-in-law, John Wiley; and infant daughter, Cynthia.
The family would like to thank Dr. Mary Anne Nelson for her kindness, compassion and care.
