Patrice Marie (Pickart) Strellner, 50, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne, with Father Craig Steimel, Father Brian Dellaert and Father Jim Miller as co-celebrants. Private family committal services will be at Calvary Cemetery near Van Horne. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church in Van Horne.
Patrice was born March 7, 1967, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids to Richard and Dianne (Pickering) Pickart. She graduated from Benton Community High School in 1985.
On Aug. 29, 1987, she was united in marriage to Brian Strellner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne.
A member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Van Horne, Patrice was a church choir member and an accomplished vocalist. For more than 10 years, she operated Patrice's School of Dance, was a scorekeeper for A Touch of Class show choir invitational for 21 years and enjoyed karaoke. She also was a member of the Benton County Potluck Club.
In addition to her husband, Brian, she is survived by her children, Briana of Van Horne, Sadie of Des Moines and Ethan of Van Horne; her parents, Richard "Dick" and Dianne Pickart of Van Horne; her brothers, Randy (Kelly) Pickart of Keystone and Anton "Tony" (Tammy) Pickart of Keystone; her sister, Heather Pickart of Boston; her mother-in-law, Carole Strellner of Van Horne; and her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bret Strellner of Cedar Rapids, Brenda (Jim) VanDee of Marengo, Shelly Strellner of Cedar Rapids and Therese Strellner of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Dean Strellner; her maternal grandparents, Albert "Swede" and Barbara Pickering; and her paternal grandparents, Anton and Lena Pickart.
A memorial fund has been established.
