Pasker, William A. 'Bill'
William A. “Bill” Pasker, 91, of Manchester, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester.
He was born May 24, 1921, in Luxemburg, the son of Ben and Clara (Brunsmann) Pasker. The family later moved to Ryan, where Bill attended St. Patrick Catholic School. Bill helped on the family farm until his marriage to Rosemary Dingbaum on April 11, 1944, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg. Together they farmed in Delaware and Linn counties. Bill also was employed at the John Deere dealership in Manchester and Dvorak Implement in Coggon as a mechanic until his retirement in 1989.
Bill was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Polka Club of Iowa, Cedar Valley Chapter. He was an accomplished woodworker and enjoyed polka dancing with Rosemary for many years. Bill's family was his life.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Rosemary Pasker of Manchester; eight children, Richard (Ruth) Pasker of Central City, David (Mary) Pasker of Blairstown, Barbara (Steven) Roggow of Marion, Robert (Loretta) Pasker of Cedar Rapids, Kathleen (Chuck) Seelinger of Osceola, Sandra (Richard) Uptegraph of Dubuque, Alan (Bridget) Pasker of Runnells, and Dean (Maureen) Pasker of Wyoming, Ill.; 30 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ida Funke of Wisconsin and Irene (Don) Salow of Manchester; one brother, Alphonse (Mae) Pasker of Manchester; sisters-in-law, Irene Pasker of Manchester, Jeanette Pasker of Cedar Rapids, and Luella Pasker of Monticello; a brother-in-law, Irvin (Mary) Dingbaum of Oelwein; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Roger Pasker and Terryl Pasker; two granddaughters, Vanessa Uptegraph and Megan Uptegraph-Coble; and four brothers, Joe (Antoinette), Albert, John and Leo Pasker.

Mass of Resurrection: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester, by the Rev. Dennis Cain. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursdayat Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester, with a Scripture Service at 3 p.m., and also after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester.
