Pasker, Luella J.
Luella J. Pasker, 91, of Monticello, formerly of Ryan, died Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Monticello Nursing & Rehab. Center in Monticello. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 11, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello where a vigil service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ryan, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Richard Gaul with Deacon James Pasker assisting.
Luella was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Petersburg, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph and Bernadine (Nefzger) Dingbaum. She married John “Jack” A. Pasker on Oct. 1, 1940, in Petersburg. Together they farmed in the Ryan community for many years. She was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church of Ryan.
Survivors include her children, Claudene (Carl) Staner of Omaha, Ark., Verna Mae (Terry) Galvin of Iowa City, Marie (LJ) Takes of Monticello, Dorothy (Jerry) Peterson of Madison, Ala., John (Shirley) Pasker of Cedar Rapids and Jim (Mary) Pasker of Boise, Idago; 16 grandchildren, Larry (Sue) Soppe, Mark (Marcia) Soppe, Steve (Vickie) Soppe, Carl (fiancee Kristi Tegeler) Soppe, Jackie (Tony) Taddonio, Michelle (Brian Mildenstein) Galvin, Terri (Aaron) Tallman, Tony (fiancee Lindsey Fjelstul) Takes, Steven Peterson, Karen Peterson, Jeff (Michelle) Pappas, Keri Pasker, Brittney Pasker, Kathy (Jim) Ineck, Suzi (Jason) Demmer and David (Amber) Pasker; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings, Rosemary Pasker of Manchester and Irvin (Mary) Dingbaum of Oelwein; and in-laws, Jeanette Pasker of Cedar Rapids, Ida Funke of Zion, Ill., Alphonse (Mae) Pasker, Irene (Don) Salow and Irene Pasker all of Manchester, Elsie Dingbaum of Dyersville and Richard Kluesner of Farley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Nettie (Joe) Pasker, Henrietta Kluesner, Luvern Dingbaum and Betty (Robert) Luensman; and in-laws: William, Albert and Leo Pasker.
