Pascual, Ricky Jay
Ricky Jay Pascual, 19, of Mount Auburn, died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton, with the Rev. Collette Gould officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 to 7 p.m. today and also 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Committal services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Rosehill Cemetery in Greene.
Ricky was born Jan. 19, 1990, in Lihue, Hawaii, the son of Edgar Aguinaldo and Nancy Malana Bacsain Pascual. He graduated from Vinton-Shellsburg High School in 2008 and had been a student at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, majoring in Web-based design.
Ricky is survived by his father, Billie Lint Sr. of Mount Auburn; his biological and stepparents, Edgar Pascual of Greene, Nancy and David Nadzam of Rochester, Pa., and Carly Chestnut of Waverly; paternal grandparents, Mila and Jerry Pascual of Greene; five sisters, Jamie Slagenweit of Cedar Rapids, Tiffany Pascual and Jasmine Wong of Pennsylvania and Jesteny and Shelena Pascual of Waverly; four brothers, Joseph (Gail) Ruzicka of Waterloo, Jimmi-Jon Lint of Mount Auburn and Justin and Ryan Nadzam of Pennsylvania; one uncle, Charles Pascual of Greene; two nephews, Eli and Tanner Ruzicka; and one niece, Kyra Marie Nicgorski of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Lint.
A memorial fund has been established.
