Parvin, Elizabeth Anne 'Betty'
Elizabeth Anne “Betty” Parvin, 92, of Amana, died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Lakeview Village in Amana. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Monday, July 30, at Middle Amana Community Church, Middle Amana, with Elder Mike Shoup officiating. Burial will be at the Middle Amana Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at the Middle Amana Community Church. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
Betty is survived by her children, Karen Von Lienen and husband Ron of Marengo, Edward Parvin and wife Rita of Tipton, Clifford “Skip” Parvin and wife Jean, and Susan Spidle and husband Duane of Peyton, Colo.; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Susanna (Graf) Rettig; her husband, Frank in 2005; a brother, Leonard Rettig; a grandson, Scott Von Lienen; and a great-grandson, Denver Parvin.
A memorial fund has been established.
