Parish “P” Marcel Harris, 30, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sept. 6, 2022. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW.
Parish was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Jan. 28, 1992, in Cedar Rapids, son of Marquis and Ursula Harris and Betty Rogers. He is survived by his parents; four siblings, Michael Morgan, Deidra Harris, Aaron Ray and Kiara Harris; and three children, Marcel Greene, Kasimir Harris and Malcom Harris.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Herschel Harris, Ivan and Rosella Pettit; his maternal grandparents; Lawyer S. Rogers and Lula Rogers; uncles, Lawyer L. Rogers, Ray Rogers and Willie D. Rogers; aunt, Linda K. Rogers; and cousin, Tywon Rogers.
He attended school at George Washington High School in 2007. Parish was a outgoing person who always wanted to be in company of those he loved. He was a caring and loving Father, Son, Brother and Friend who put smiles on everyone's faces. He was the kind of person to always check in on his people, would drop anything for them, and give them the shirt off his back. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.
