Pamela Sue (Swenson) Dirks passed on July 22, 2022, at the age of 60, in Cary, N.C. after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. Pam was born on July 4, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to Jerry Swenson and Terry Kadlec. She attended Kennedy High School. Pam was a long-time in-home day care provider in the area and was well known for her love of animals, especially cats. She enjoyed travelling and was truly happiest at Pensacola Beach, Florida.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Jeff Lanctot of Cary, N.C.; sons, Matt Kadlec (Rachel) of Marion, Tim Dirks (Karen) of Tipp City, Ohio, and Tyler Dirks of Cary, N.C. Pam also had three stepchildren, Courtney, Adam and Taylor. Other surviving relatives include her father, Jerry Swenson of Cedar Rapids; mother, Terry Kadlec of Marion; brother, Steve (Sally) of Perry, Iowa; sister, Deb Raynal (Scott) of Kansas City, Mo.; and many beloved nieces/nephews and great-nieces/great-nephews.
Pam was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Lisa Turner; brother, Michael Swenson; and stepfather, Jim Kadlec.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends and loved ones to consider a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (nationalmssociety.org). Services to be held at a later date.
