Pamela J. Benest, 71, of Marion, passed away from a sudden illness at home on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.
Pam was born Feb. 27, 1945, the daughter of Harold and Arline (Croft) Chase. Pam was devoted to volunteering her time at the Humane Society and actively involved with her church, Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. During retirement, Pam had a real passion for genealogy and spent countless hours on this love.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Allen Chase.
Left to cherish Pamela's memories are her children, Scott and Brian (Jessi) Benest; brother, Dennis "Butch" (Susan) Chase; and grandchildren, Finn, Lucille, Sally Rose (Brian and Jessi).
Donations in Pamela's name may be directed to the Humane Society.
