Palling, Barbara R.

Barbara was a high school librarian in Kansas, a cataloger and reference librarian in Missouri, and a library science instructor at Colorado University, Texas Woman's University, and Delta State University in Mississippi. She was director of the Ballou Library at Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa, before becoming head of reference at Missouri Western State College in St. Joseph, Mio. Barbara retired to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she was a part-time library clerk at Kirkwood Community College.
Barbara was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and a past member of The American Library Association. She enjoyed photography, crocheting, creative writing, especially children's stories, and spending time with her friends and colleagues.
Barbara is survived by her many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Grace Palling.
