Owen, Ruth Maxine Forinash Wells
Ruth Maxine Forinash Wells Owen, 90, of rural Keota, formerly of Washington, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, at the United Presbyterian Home, Washington, following a short illness. Celebration of Life services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Marlene Janssen officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. on Friday. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington.
She is survived by her husband, John Owen of Keota; daughter, Sharon Hahn and husband Ed of Keota; son, Gary Sheetz and wife Kay of Washington, Iowa; stepdaughter, Linda George of California; stepson, Paul Owen of Oshkosh, Wis.; stepdaughter, Paulette Leslie of Phoenix, Ariz.; six grandchildren, Paula Celania and husband Joe of Lucas, Texas, Mark Hahn of Plano, Texas, Lonnie Hahn and wife Tabitha of Washington, Iowa, Sara Buchholtz and husband Kirk of Plainfield, Ill., Lora Breitbach and husband John of Cedar Rapids and Brad Sheetz and wife Lynne of Washington, Iowa; 10 great-grandchildren; a number of stepgreat-grandchildren; and one brother, Cecil Lavone Forinash of Knoxville, Tenn.
Memorials have been established for the West Chester United Methodist Church or the United Presbyterian Home.
