Overbey, Mark E.
Mark E. Overbey, 53, of Springfield, Mo., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Feb. 12, 2012, in Springfield. Memorial services were Feb. 15 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Dewitt Overbey of Springfield, Mo.; his mother, Rosemary (Lee) Hahn, formerly of Cedar Rapids; children, Bethanie Reynolds and Eric Overbey; a granddaughter, Aurora Overbey; stepchildren, Daniel and Beth Ericsson; a brother, Rodney Overbey; sister, Gina (Brian) Taylor, Cedar Rapids; stepsister, Lisa Schulze, Center Point; aunts, Nadene Roberts, Cedar Rapids, and Bev (Marvin) Morris, Quasqueton; and cousins, Michael Roberts, Debra Simonsen and Rick Jones.
Mark was born Feb. 25, 1958. He was employed by Thompson Auto Sales at the time of his death. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. He enjoyed gardening and playing with his granddaughter.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
