Osyro Wolfe, 90, of Lisbon, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, in his home, with his grandson, John McPhail, and Leslie Nelson. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, by Celebrant Mary Morgan. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Lisbon Cemetery.
Survivors include his children, Carolyn Brooks of Kalona, Marilyn Bischof Eickstaedt of Eloy, Ariz., Bennie Wolfe of Gilman and Elaine Detweiler of Cedar Rapids; and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Osyro was born Jan. 29, 1925, the son of Rollie and Jenny (Payne) Wolfe. On Nov. 16, 1944, he married Belva G. Allbee in Marion. Osyro retired from Iowa Electric Light & Power Co. after 32 1/2 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Belva in 2004; son, Stanley O. Wolfe in 1989; grandson, Stanley J. Wolfe in 1981; granddaughter, Shanna J. Wolfe Nicholson in 2011; and a great-grandson, Jason Alexander Scott Nicholson in 2005.
