Ortberg, Dean Harold

Dean Harold Ortberg, 53, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on Feb. 3, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 4 to 7 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

He is survived by one son, Dean (Kelly Ricklefs) Ortberg; three brothers, Doug Ortberg, Duane Ortberg and David Ortberg; and his former wife and lifetime friend, Teresa Murray, all of Cedar Rapids; many loving nieces, nephews, friends and family members; and future grandbaby Ortberg.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Darold Ortberg, stepdad, Bill Benishek; an uncle, Dennis “Denny” O'Brien; and best friend, Bobby “Butch” Miller.

Dean Harold Ortberg was born Aug. 5, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Alavah and Juanita (O'Brien) Ortberg. Dean worked for Hupp Electric in Cedar Rapids.

Dean will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
