Orpha "Sarg" Ellison, 89, of Marion, died Sunday,
July 6, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids.
Funeral service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Pastor Del Bear. The family will greet friends one hour before the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial: Campbell Cemetery, Bertram.
Survivors include his sister, Vivian Park of Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
Orpha was born May 20, 1925, in Bertram, the son of Orpha and Bertha (Coster) Ellison. He served with the United States Marion Corps for 20 years and worked for Viking Pump in Cedar Falls.
