O'Rourke, Anne M.
Anne M. O'Rourke, 88, died suddenly Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in North English with the Rev. Joseph Roost presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Burial will be in the Armah Cemetery, rural North English.
A memorial fund has been established for the North English QRS.

Anne M. O'Rourke was born on June 9, 1924, in the Clear Creek Community near Keota, the daughter of Michael and Margaret Greiner Sieren. She attended school at Clear Creek. Anne was united in marriage to Joseph Robert O'Rourke on Nov. 28, 1946, at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. They lived in Keota a year before moving to the farm near North English. They moved into town in 1980. Anne worked 30 years at the English Valley Care Center. She enjoyed being on the farm, wintering in Arizona, gardening, playing cards, cooking and especially spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Joanne Broadus, Bob (Marty) O'Rourke of North English, Tom (Maggie) O'Rourke of Earlham and Angie (Gregg) Hartwig of Iowa City; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Corrine Lenaghan and Theresa Peiffer; and sisters-in-law, Pat Sieren and Theresa O'Rourke.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe in 2006; daughters, Carolyn and Margaret O'Rourke; a granddaughter, Katelyn O'Rourke; son-in-law, Jerry Broadus; eight brothers, infants Leo and Albert, Raymond, Carl, Leonard, Joe, Elmer Paul Sieren; and sister, Helen Sieren.
