Opal Pearl Roller, 96, died Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Kloster Funeral Home, in Marengo, with the Rev. Matt German officiating. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be contributed to First United Methodist Church, Marengo, in her name.
Opal is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Honstein and Anna McIlrath, both of Laguna Beach, Calif.; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Share of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a daughter, Audrey Ensor; two sons, Donald Share and Robert Roller; a grandson, Brian Keith Ensor; and siblings, Clara Fiser, Charles Fowler Jr. and Clyde Fowler.
Opal Pearl Fowler was born Dec. 8, 1918, in Ozark, Ark., the daughter of Charles Fowler Sr. and Beulah Reynolds Fowler. She received her education in the Marengo schools. She was united in marriage to Ralph Share, and the couple had one son, Donald G. Share. She later married Francis Eugene Roller, and they had two children, Robert Roller and Audrey Roller Ensor.
Opal enjoyed gardening, flowers and sewing.
