Ollie Mae Williams, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022. Per her wishes, she has been cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Ollie was born on March 13, 1943, to Joshua and Pinkie (Julious) Holman. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School. She met Eugene Williams and they married, and together they raised two sons, Nathan and David Williams. She worked as a laborer for Cryovac.
She loved to shop, play bingo, and go to the casino. She enjoyed her collection of teddy bears. Most importantly, she cherished the time spent with her family.
Ollie is survived by her loving siblings, Emma Squires, Shirley Browning, Julious Williams and Rose "Williams" Merritt; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Nathan and David Williams; her parents, Joshua and Pinkie Williams; and her siblings, Hermia, John, Earl and Steven.
