Oliver, Katherine Nan

Katherine Nan Oliver, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Zebedee Bell. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include her husband, Robert; a daughter, Kathy of Cedar Rapids; five sons, Dwayne of Marshalltown, and Raymond Griffin, Calvin Griffin, Robert Oliver Jr. and Terry Lee Oliver, all of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Dawhan Oliver of Marshalltown and Eric Griffin of Cedar Rapids; and a great-grandchild, Giovanni Griffin of Cedar Rapids.

Also surviving are three sisters, Beatrice (George) Stevens, Gertrude (Jack) Harris and Dora Mae Wise, all of Cedar Rapids; three brothers, Ed Green Jr. of Witchita, Kan., Wallace Green of Cedar Rapids and Robert Green of Covington, Ga.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Katherine was born June 23, 1938, the daughter of Ed and Silvia (Helem) Green, in Macon, Miss. She married Robert Oliver in 1960 in St. Louis, Mo. Katherine was a member of New Jerusalem Church of God.
