Oler, Loretta M.
Loretta M. Oler, 99, of Marion, died Friday, April 29, 2011, in Linn Manor. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. The Rev. Dr. Karen Downey Beals will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Charlene Thurston of Springville, Virginia Stout of Cedar Rapids, Claude Oler of Lisbon, Keith Oler of Murphy, N.C., and Kenneth Oler of Springville; a brother; 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Oler; five brothers; a sister; and twin granddaughters.
Loretta was born Feb. 14, 1912, in Greenville, Tenn., the daughter of Hugh and Hattie Brown. She married Robert W. Oler on Dec. 24, 1926, in Greenville. She was a member of Springville Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, flowers and cooking.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
