Terry Lee O'Connor, 43, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center from a massive heart attack. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Judith Bunyi. Friends may visit with the family after 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Terry is survived by a beloved daughter, Sapphire Lee Sproston; his parents, Richard and Carol O'Connor; and his brother, Kevin O'Connor, all of Cedar Rapids; his maternal grandmother; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

His maternal grandparents preceded him in death.

Terry was born Sept. 6, 1969, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Richard Dean and Carol Ann Dellinger O'Connor. He was a 1988 graduate of Jefferson High School and a longtime employee of Papa John's Restaurant on Center Point Road.

Terry had a passion for putting together jigsaw puzzles with his dear friends, Christina, Nina and Blair. His love of puzzles was shared and inspired by his 92-year-old maternal grandmother, Gladys. He also enjoyed gaming and watching movies with Brent and many other friends. He loved to watch and chase storms and was also interested in astronomy and the climate. He dearly loved his favorite cat, Sir Homurr Jones.
