Nuehring, Mark Edward
Mark Edward Nuehring, 69, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at his home in Marion. Memorial services: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday and one hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home. Private burial: Monona Lutheran Cemetery, Monona, at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn; two daughters, Karla (Steve) St. John of Waukee and Holly Nuehring (fiance Ray Shrader and son Austyn) of Des Moines; two grandchildren, Brett and Annie St. John; and two brothers, Dan (Evelyn) Nuehring of Cedar Rapids and Stan (Diana) Nuehring of Nashville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mark was born Nov. 28, 1941, in Monona, the son of Daymond and Elizabeth (Pufahl) Nuehring. On May 26, 1963, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Houg in Monona. Mark worked in the automotive parts business for 51 years, ending his career at Junge, Center Point.
