NORMAN JOSEPH KUDDES

Norman Joseph Kuddes was born Oct. 28, 1934, the son of Norman and Bridget (Carney) Kuddes. Norman was united in marriage to Beverly Hormel on Sept. 17, 1966. They had been married 52 years. In Norman's early years, he helped his folks out on the farm and worked for his brother, Frank, who owned and operated a dry wall business. He worked at Swift Feed Mill in Williamsburg until the plant closed. He worked for Bert and Larry Coffman delivering supplies to different stores for a number of years when the children were small. He worked for Manatts Inc. out of Brooklyn, Iowa, for the last 25 years until his retirement. Norman passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at his home at the age of 83 years.
Norman is survived by his wife, Beverly; two sons, Joe Kuddes of Parnell (special friend Connie Hupp of Williamsburg), and Rusty Kuddes of Delta; a granddaughter, Ashlea Matthes of South Amana; two sisters, Janice (Dick) Hendrickson of Cedar Rapids and Mary (Harvey) Horn of What Cheer; brother, Harold (Carol) Kuddes of Robins; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Frank Kuddes.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Holbrook. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg.
Memorials are for Friends of Old St. Michael's, Lutheran Interparish School or Iowa City Hospice.
