Norma Jordan
NORMA JEAN JORDAN Hiawatha Norma Jean Jordan, 84, of Apache Junction, Ariz., formerly of Hiawatha, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015. She fought a long and courageous battle with diabetes. Arrangements with a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Jean was born on April 26, 1931, in Hazleton, Iowa, to F.E. Spragg and Ester A. (Martin) Spragg. She was a 1949 graduate of Oelwein High School in Oelwein, Iowa. Jean was married to William K. Jordan on Dec. 1, 1950. She was a wonderful mother, raising four sons and working at the same time. Jean and Bill loved camping and traveling the country in their RV until they retired and moved to Apache Junction, Ariz., in 2012. Jean is survived by her husband, Bill; and four sons, Bill and Janie Jordan of Denver, Colo., Douglas and Marie Jordan of Columbia, S.C., Phil and Mary Jordan of Hiawatha and David Jordan and Judith of Boulder, Colo. She had seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Bernice (Peyton) Jordan and Dorothy (Pierce) Spragg; and one brother-in-law, Donald Jordan.
