Norma G. Gross, 87, of Cedar Rapids, passed away
on Monday, Jan. 24, 2022.
Norma was born on Nov.
1, 1934, in Ford, Kan., to
Royal and Grace (Tucker) Unger. On June 20, 1954, Norma married Robert "Bob" Gross in Satanta, Kan. Norma worked as a Press Operator with Nash Finch and volunteered at St Luke's Hospital for over 20 years.
Norma had a radiant
smile. Norma and Bob loved to dance and travel together on their motorcycle, an adventure that took them to some great places. Their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were their lives.
Left to cherish Norma's memory are her children, Tammy (Russell) Becker of Toddville, Iowa, Michael (Cathy) Gross of Palo, Iowa, and Brenda (Steve) Cahill of Palo, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo (Noel) Washburn; grandchildren, Dustin (Keegan) Gross, AJ (Jessica) Gross, Elizabeth Becker, Emily (Sean) Scheibe, Courtney (Neal) Johnson, Leanne Becker, Cole (Kaylee) Gross and Tricia Becker; 10 great-grandchildren; six sisters, Nilene Cunningham, Mary McMinn, Betty Jo Young, Jennie Harrison, Donna Connor and Georgia Lynn Moree; sister-in-law, Barbara (Dale) Cook, of Hutchinson, Kan.; and many other nieces, nephews and living relatives.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; parents; and son, Robert, Jr.
A visitation celebrating the lives of Norma and Bob will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A private family graveside committal and interment will follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. Luke's Hospice or the Veteran's Administration.
