Noreen J. Donnelly, 87, longtime resident of Coralville, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017.
A time for family and friends to gather to share, support and remember will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at North Ridge Pavilion in Coralville.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her memory.

Noreen Joyce Wagner was born April 6, 1930, near Homestead, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis and Esther Wagner. She married James K. "Big Jim" Donnelly on Aug. 2, 1975. For many years, she worked as a waitress at Ming Gardens and the University Athletic Club, where she met and worked with her longtime friend of 53 years, Nancy Schlote. Noreen was known for her gardens and flowers in Coralville and enjoyed her "occasional" trips to the casino but, most of all, she loved her family and her dear friends!
Her family includes her five children, Pam Axeen (Allan), Connie Myers, Jim Rogers (Joyce), Michael Rogers and Robin Donnelly-Barcus (David Barcus); her fury children, Callie and Tabby; grandchildren, Robert Axeen (Candy), Amy Axeen (Corey Thomlin), Amanda Long (Tony), Michele VandenBerg, Joshua VandenBerg (Chelcei), Ted Spivey (Stephanie), Jeromye Rogers (Lauren), Toby Rogers (Litree Walls), Tanya Venteicher (Joel), Courtney Petrick (Brandon Parrott), Austin Rogers, Dwight Rogers, Todd Rogers (Paula) Michael J. Rogers, Tony Day (Heather), Paws, Stormie, Jasper, Lynn, Stormy, Frostie, Baby Paws, Sterling and Pepsi; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Anthony, Chelsey, Brittany, Dylan, Allison, Addison, Mashaun, Jovon, Trauvon, Ella, Marri, Charlie, Trevor, Jordan, Jacob, Cassidy, Courtney, Hunter, Evelyn, Brooklynn, Avery, Jacob, Alyssa, Leximae and Braelyn; and one great-great-grandson, Landon; Noreen's sister, Jackie Wagner (Bob); and Noreen's special friend, Clifford Corpman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters, Carol Dahl and Betty Jean Bahndorf.
