Norderhus, Paul Jerome

Paul Jerome Norderhus, 80, of Urbana, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, in his home following a long illness. The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion. However, per Paul wishes, there will not be a formal service.

Paul was born Jan. 5, 1933, in Souris, N.D., the son of Clarence and Nora (Ihla) Norderhus. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He married Janice Thompson in Bottineau, N.D. in 1955. Paul worked for Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids and Richardson, Texas. He was plant manager in Richardson at the time of his retirement in 1990. Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing and was very active in the Elks Lodge #2485 of Plano-Richardson.

He is survived by his wife Janice; four daughters, Jackie (Spencer) Thomas, Jerri (Scott) Bennett, Julie Womack and Jodi (Jim) Cox; eight grandchildren, Judd (Tracey) Thomas, Josh (Carrie) Thomas, Jordan and Morgan Bennett, Jonathan Womack, Jamison (Courtney) Womack and Seth and Ryan Cox; four great-grandchildren, Kyndal, Jarrett, Finnley and Olivia; and a brother, Curtis (Peggy) Norderhus.
