Norbert Matthew Pint, 86, of Independence, Iowa, died Monday, June 1, 2015, at his home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 5, at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the White Funeral Home, Independence, where there will be a parish rosary at 4 p.m. and vigil service at 7 p.m.

Mr. Pint was born Jan. 16, 1929, in Independence, Iowa, the son of William J. Pint and Alvina K. (Reuter) Pint. He attended schools in Buchanan County, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Norbert drove a milk route for several years and also farmed. He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Independence.
He is survived by one daughter, Toni Pint-Burke of Waterloo, Iowa; one son, Dale W. Pint of Waterloo, Iowa; three grandchildren, Alli Burke, Erika Burke and Zachary Pint; one sister, Dorothy Richards of Oran, Iowa; and a sister-in-law, Nella Yarrington of Waterloo, Iowa.
He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence Pint, La Verne Pint and Floyd Pint; and one sister, Leona Suhr.
