Nolte, Richard
Richard Nolte, 85, of Marion, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Nolte family home.
Richard was a much loved-father, grandfather. and great-grandfather, He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Richard was a tank engineer during the Korean conflict. He owned and operated REN Engineering until his retirement.
Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Joy Nolte; his parents, George and Lucille Nolte; and his sisters, Patricia and Donna.
He is survived by his son, David A. Nolte of Carthage, Mo.; daughter-in-law, Jeannie Nolte of Marion; grandchildren, Kathryn (Martin) Janss of Neosho, Mo., Kimberly Nolte of Columbia, Mo., David L. (Cassie) Nolte of Cedar Rapids, and Derek Nolte of Cedar Rapids; brother, Robert (Carol) Nolte of Corning; and sister, Betty (Ed) Johnson of Freson, Ariz.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bell; social worker, Bruce; and the medical staff of the Ed and Joan Hemphill Hospice Unit at St. Luke's Hospital.
