Noel, Bonnie Sue
Bonnie Sue Noel, 54, of Lone Tree, passed away Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at Mercy Iowa City surrounded by her family. Funeral services for Bonnie will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Burial will be in the Lone Tree Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Gary Noel, Randy Noel, Mike Noel, R.J. Ham, Chad Meade and Rob Peterson. Following the committal services at the cemetery, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Lone Tree American Legion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Lone Tree.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Bonnie.

Bonnie Sue Ham was born on Oct. 21, 1956, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Betty (Zajicek) Ham. Bonnie was a 1975 graduate of West High School. On Sept. 16, 1978, Bonnie was united in marriage to Rick Noel in Iowa City. Bonnie worked for the Iowa City school district for 27 years. She was one of the original members of the Lone Tree P.T.O. Bonnie enjoyed being in the outdoors, gardening, listening to country music and spending time with her family and friends.
Bonnie will be deeply missed by her husband, Rick of Lone Tree; her children, Jennifer Jensen and her husband, Scott of Lone Tree and Brian Noel of Lone Tree; two grandchildren, Kendall and Kyler Jensen; mother, Betty Ham of Solon; one sister, Phyllis Meade and her husband, Ron of Iowa City; one brother, Tom Ham and his wife, Sharon of Montezuma; and many nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Patricia Haman; twin brother, Ron Ham; and two nieces, Merrick Ham and Missy Miner.
