Noah (Ronnenberg, Lois H.
Lois H. Noah (Ronnenberg, Prosser, Harman), 78, of Cherokee Village, Ark., formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010, at Hospice House in Mountain Home, Ark., after a courageous 3-year battle with cancer. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
Lois was born Oct. 26, 1932, in Troy, Pa., to Leonard and Agnes Ronnenberg, and was raised by Leonard and her stepmother, Sarah, in Cedar Rapids. Lois married Richard Prosser on April 21, 1951. This union ended in divorce. She married William Harman on Aug. 1, 1964, and they spent 35 years together until his death on July 11, 1999. Lois married Jack Noah on April 12, 2003, and spent the remainder of her life with him in Cherokee Village, Ark.
Lois worked at Rockwell Collins for several years but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Master Gardener Program in Linn County in 1982, volunteering over 3,000 hours. Lois enjoyed gardening, needle work, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Over the last few years of her life, she became an accomplished artist and enjoyed exhibiting her paintings.
Lois is survived by her husband, Jack; brothers, Leonard Ronnenberg, Charles Ronnenberg, Marvin Kuehl and Stuart Kuehl; sisters, Faye Holcomb, Kay Hughes and Alayne Ronnenberg; and an aunt, Anna Leeper.
Lois will be greatly missed by her children: Richard Prosser, Indianola; Donald Prosser (Sue), Fredericksburg; Daniel Prosser, Burwick, Iowa; David Prosser (Marcia), Cedar Rapids; Denise Bryan (Clyde), Venango, Neb.; William Harman, Cedar Rapids; Tina Chaplin, Indianola, and Lois Emde (John), Aurora, Ill. She will be missed by her 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, four stepchildren, nine stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death be her father and stepmother; two brothers, Ronald Ronnenberg and Jim Kuehl; and two sisters, Betty Caldwell and Janice Kelly.
Lois was a loving wife, wonderful mother and proud grandmother, and her memory will live forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
