Nissen, John Junior
John Junior Nissen, 78, of Maquoketa, formerly of Wyoming, Iowa, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at his home in Maquoketa. Friends and family may gather in remembrance of John from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, June 17, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, where a 5:30 p.m. prayer service will take place. A reception will follow at Horseshoe Pond in Maquoketa. A private burial will be at a later date in Oakdale Cemetery, Davenport.
Those left to honor John's memory include his wife, Connie Nissen of Maquoketa; children, Kayleen (Todd) Barten of Maquoketa, Kristen (Shane) Hagemann of Maquoketa, Tom Nissen of Onslow, Wesley (Kendra) Nissen of Monticello and Jens (Paula) Nissen of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmer (Sheryl) Nissen of Center Junction; and sisters, Janette Ames of Hiawatha and Ann (Jim) Eby of Monticello.
