Nienhaus, Janice Marie

Funeral services for Janice Marie Nienhaus, 71, of Tipton, who died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, with the Rev. Ron Lashmit officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home. Burial: Tipton Masonic Cemetery.

Janice was born March 23, 1941, in New Hampton, Iowa, the daughter of Orville and Alene Fern Morris Carter. She attended Hampton High School. On Oct. 29, 1982, Janice was united in marriage to Garvin Alphonse Nienhaus in Mason City. Janice was a homemaker and had been employed as a painter for Winnebago Industries.

Janice is survived by her husband, Garvin Nienhaus of Tipton; father, Orville Carter of North Liberty; sons, Michael (Rika) Allen of Nevada, Ohio and Jerry (Sandy) Allen of Marion, Ohio; sisters, Nancy (Robert) Sines of Hiawatha, Kan., and Carol (Monte) Kammerer of Gresham, Ore.; and brothers, Dan (Debbie) Carter of Boque Chitto, Miss., and Don (Diane) Carter of North Liberty.

She was preceded in death by her mother, and stepson, Mike.
